Alberto de Chirico (photographer well known also as Demian Savinio) is the alter ego of Domiziano Cristopharo, the internationally acclaimed actor and movie director who came to prominence with his first film, "House of Flesh Mannequins" (Los Angeles, 2008). Alberto de Chirico's technical brilliance as a photographer transforms each of his images from a simple picture to a sensual work of art. His photos are realized in LIGHT PAINTING, a photography technique that uses a moving light source (e.g., a flashlight) to add light to a subject while taking a long-exposure photograph.

A scene or object can be brought to life by painting with a beam of light. When light painting, the photographer, become an entirely different kind of artist. Instead of just capturing an image as it’s presented, he create the image that the camera is capturing. Few photographers have so ruthlessly expressed their personal vision and aesthetic through the lens of a camera. With contrasting whites cutting through the inky dark backgrounds, de Chirico's imagery enters through one's eyes and into one's heart, one's soul.  White light becomes white heat becomes white meat.

The result gives these forms and images a three-dimensional reality; the glossy, colorful flesh jumps off the page, so vivid as if one can touch the real, living body: de Chirico's fine art photography has been the subject of CD covers, film posters, and exhibitions, as well as much-sought-after art residing in significant private collections.

Alberto de Chirico aka Demian Savinio/Domiziano Cristopharo, oggi regista e performer, si forma come artista visivo presso un istituto d’arte con specializzazione in decoro ecclesiastico, approfondendo il percorso all’Accademia delle Belle Arti di Roma: è qui che Cristopharo, coadiuvato dalla fortuna di avere come insegnante Nato Frascà (con cui approfondisce discipline di “teoria della percezione” e “psicologia della forma”) sviluppa la sua vena Dadaista realizzando collages, poesie “merz” derivate da Schwitters e ready-made, con una concettualità che sarà la base del suo approccio con il linguaggio estetico e cinematografico (tutto è nuovo e tutto ridiventa nuovo).

La tecnica del collage attraverso il manuale ritaglio ed incollaggio di immagini preesistenti, cede con gli anni il posto ad immagini realizzate appositamente da Cristopharo (fotografia e pittura), assemblate digitalmente con software di computergrafica per ottenere un effetto quanto più vicino al realistico, ma senza mai rinunciare ad una artigianalità che si ritrova nel body painting e nell'allestimento scenico. Non lo abbandonano le tematiche provocatorie e mistiche che sono una costante della sua "politica". La sua tecnica e' il Light Painting, che significa - letteralmente - “dipingere con la luce“, e non è un caso che fosse tanto amata dal pittore Picasso. Il light painting infatti prevede di utilizzare le fonti di luce esterne su lunghe esposizioni, manovrate come un pennello per produrre effetti su una fotografia già in fase di scatto.
